What comes in the Lovecraft Conversion Kits?

The basic components of a Lovecraft conversion kit, are a heated, high flow filter, heat exchanger, booster pump, relays/ switches and wiring harness (only on certain applications), replacement fuel lines, "T" fitting to tap into the engines coolant lines, plus all plumbing and electrical parts and connectors.

We go to extreme lengths to make our home conversion kits simple, easy, and quick to install, with basic tools. Each kit contains clear instructions along with photos of every step of the conversion process.

What is the MPG after a conversion?
That depends a great deal on your car, but in most cases there is no noticeable change.

Cold weather and your Lovecraft conversion.

Take the same precautions as running regular diesel. Use a block heater, garage at night, anti-gel agents, kerosene additives, etc.  You can still run regular diesel, biodiesel and/or blends if you have concerns.

How much would it cost for multiple car conversions?
The cost for multiple car conversions for older model Mercedes is $870 for the first, $770 for the second, and $670 for the third. We do not do conversions for any less than $670.

Can vegetable oil hurt my car?

No, as long as it is properly filtered. In most cases, vegetable oil actually cleans out the fuel system, making your car run much smoother. The added lubrication also quiets the diesel clatter, increases compression in older engines, reduces both smoke and oil burning.

What if I can't find any vegetable oil after my conversion?

Our conversions allow you to run vegetable oil, Biodiesel, and/or regular diesel. They can be blended in your fuel tank, in any proportions. Vegetable oil can be purchased new at any market, and in bulk at warehouse stores like Costco. You can obtain waste vegetable oil for free (usually) from any restaurant with a fryer (Don't use hydrogenated or shortening based oils) See our "collecting vegetable oil" section in the forums for help.

Can I do the conversion myself?

Yes, our systems are are very affordable, effective, and maintenance free (for the most part). Kits are available, see our online catalog and call to place an order. We prefer to install our own systems, because if done wrong you can seriously damage your vehicle, but anyone with some mechanical skills can follow our guide .
